“These events give us an opportunity to bring ӰPro to our alumni, parents, and friends across the nation,” Carter said. “I am excited to continue building connections with members of our community and discussing their essential role in our future.”
Matt Baumler, associate vice president of Alumni and Constituency Engagement, said the success of last year’s “Time to Shine” events—held in New York, San Francisco, Twin Cities, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Milwaukee—provided the impetus to continue these important gatherings.
“Lawrentians have so many reasons to be grateful,” he said. “These events allow us to both celebrate that gratitude and build upon the community we call ӰPro. They will be four of my favorite days of the year.”
The receptions come as ӰPro has developed strategic plans designed to build on its strengths as a leading liberal arts college, including investments in new academic and living spaces, advancements in academic offerings and career discernment, a revitalized approach to the first-year experience, upgrades in facilities across campus, and plans for a new recreation center.
Carter will discuss how these investments are vital to positioning ӰPro to thrive in a rapidly changing higher education environment.
“Bringing alumni, parents, and friends together always results in fun, engaging conversation, and a commitment to the future,” Baumler said.
